Dean DiSalvo

Dean DiSalvo received his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Florida State University in 1995. He served in engineering and project management roles for over 20 years, with a focus on the design, analysis, and optimization of wireless communication systems. After his daughter was diagnosed with autism in 2014, he was introduced to Verbal Behavior (VB) therapy. Dean started development of a teaching and learning software application based on the existing ITT (Intense Trial Teaching) card sort system. The software still preserves the critical social elements that made the traditional techniques successful. Realizing the autism services offered in Florida did not meet their needs, Dean and his family moved to Pennsylvania in 2017. He joined PaTTAN in early 2018 to develop the software further with the guidance of industry experts.
