Note: This session takes place during the second half of the afternoon instruction period. Please also select a session (labeled A) to fill the first half of the afternoon.
This session will review teaching sign as a response form in the classroom setting using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. The topics covered will include selection of response form based on assessment, teaching procedures for sign training, and programming using data-based decision making and analysis. This session will cover case study samples of school-aged students ranging in age from Kindergarten to 8th grade with an emphasis on both the levels and ages of the learners. Case study samples presented by different teachers will include the assessment process, teaching procedures, data systems, and video samples of their students.
