Every parent wants their child to be included and be a part of their school community and ultimately included in the community at large. However, it can often be a challenge to accomplish the goal of meaningful participation while also ensuring optimal outcomes and safety of all involved. This presentation will provide guidelines for parents and teams to consider as well as a review of critical skill sets that result in successful participation in general education settings, home, and community settings.
